| Fished deadman's yesterday. Saw lots of skittish small drum and 20+ stingrays. Caught numerous skip jack, sub-15" trout, and one keeper red wading the windward shoreline with soft plastics and gulps. Action was good with hookups every 2-3 casts in the early afternoon. Also drifted the back yard from ICW to Laguna Shores with a few small trout. Saw some reds but no hookups. Water still looks good. Not a bad day considering the conditions. |

| Wasn't Deadman's/Kate's hole where that jerk was setting gill nets? |

I haven't fished dead mans in a long while. More like a year but burning paddle tails along a shoreline produced limits of reds with several oversize and a majority where fat upper slot _________________ Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. |

I like that area during the summer when the winds lay down. Fish from the power lines down towards Wilson's cut in the kayak, and got a couple honey holes that produce some 20+" trout. May try it next weekend, and will continue through June when the croaker get to the 4" size and start making noise!

I have never been to a place that held as many rays. I like to fish the bulkheads but after seeing the ray infestation there last year I have a hard time going there when I can usually find some fish somewhere else. Call me a wuss or whatever, but if you've ever been hit you know my trepidation! If I had poling skiff or a kayak it may be different but since I wade 90% of the time, no thanks. Yes I wear guards. _________________ You should have been here yesterday, they were tearin' 'em up. |
