That's sad news. People like Ej, who believe that he deserved what he got, are flat out crazy. Yes, it doesn't make you happy, to get all tangled up. On thenothernhnd getting wronged, in almost anyway, is never an excuse for violent retaliation.
The individual should be prosecuted.

Who carries a hammer while fishing? I dunno about yall but I have a hard enough time carrying the tackle and rods I use much less anything extra. Crazy stuff over something so stupid.

They couldn't arrest because they didn't see the assault. Shocked
if it had been a domestic dispute all the cop would have to see is bruises
on a female and he would be arrested. IMPO this is BS and they should be prosecuted.

It's only one side of the story. It could very well be 100% true, but I would hesitate before criticizing CCPD based on a family's account which is understandably emotionally charged and inevitably biased.

No matter the circumstances any kind of situation that begins with chillin and fishin and ends with violence and stitches is a damn shame.

Likely Alcohol... regardless if you go as far as to even tap someone on the head with a hammer for tangling your line then you got issues and you're a hypocrite because every angler has done that before...dont lie..yall know!

People are crazy. You head out to have some fun fishing and this happens. Maybe congress needs to address hammer control. Geez.

that's why i carry 24/7 there r nuts all over the place. if some pulls a hammer on me n plan on using it them i would fear for my life n drop the hammer on him. A tangled line is not worth starting a fight r even an argument over. lifes to short to be fighting all the time. if u can't handle your alcohol then don't drink its that easy.

Its pretty bad yes, but just thinking about it how does one in an anger rage just tap someone on the head with a hammer unless it glanced. Which I'm sure the receiver is feeling really lucky. It could have been much worse. Good thing he didn't have a sledge hammer or an axe. Very Happy Who carries a hammer when fishing? Nobody I know.....thankfully. Very Happy

I do carry a 4 lb. dead-blow hammer but the only thing that gets wacked with that are my rod holders. A person would only get wacked with it if they decided to attack me and I'm not big on giving anyone reason to do that. Something is suspicious if the police took no action towards the person unless they couldn't find a hammer or witnesses told a different story.
