My brother has a 86 40hp evinrude engine. The hydraulic tilt has an oil leak on the top seal. The problem is when we try to look it up, we cannot find a pump similar to the one installed. It does however match one that looks exactly like a pump from a Honda engine. They won't Sell just the seal but the whole assembly which is way to much $$$. Anyone know anyone locally that can rebuild this or know of a fix? Thanks!
