With the nice weather window decided to take my sister on her first BTB trip. I was very proud of her she paddled 4 miles non stop to the fishing spot. She also caught the biggest Snapper of the day at 24.5" and a Gag Grouper that was a little small to keep. We all caught limits of Snapper and a couple of Jacks and one King that my brother in law caught. She also caught a Trigger Fish that gave her the record in Kayak Wars. For the trip back I traded kayaks with her and let her peddle instead of paddling I think she wants a Hobie now. Sunday went solo to the PINS platforms it was a little slow but did hook into pretty nice Tarpon but lost it on the second jump. Did catch a few Snapper but really wanted Ling they just where not there. Anyway here are a few pics of the trip.

I agree poops2260, "The Spot" was awesome. Between us three we caught over 40+ snappers largest 25" and two Jacks C. over 38". A school of jack (100+) came through and we were able to land two and missed three. It was a good day (5-5-13)

Very carefully we just held the kayaks together I jumped on the front hatch and she jumped in mine a little tricky but not to bad. |
