Left the house early to catch the last of this weekend's meteor shower. Got away from the city lights and saw a couple of good ones, but my camera was never pointed in the right direction to capture them. At least I got some of the Milky Way:
Put the camera away and kayaked around starting a little before sunrise. A couple of hits on topwater, but no takers. Strawberry paddletail did the job. Got the small guy while trolling it behind me on a 1/16 oz jighead. The other 2 were landed in 3-4' of water. Bite stopped when the winds died around 9:30, headed in not much later. Measured 16", 23", and 24"
