My dog got out Sunday (4/15) around 2. Somebody said they saw him on Gollihar by Sharon St around 2:30 get hit by a black lifted ford truck (f150 possibly?) - With a middle aged man in it.

My dog is a 8 month old Rat Terrier mix - White with black spots and a black patch over one eye, He's a male, neutered - No collar/tags. 15lbs

Happened right infront of Richard King High school - Buster (my dog) was still alive after being hit, and the man stopped and picked him up.

I've done everything I can and posted everywhere I can looking for Buster - so now I'm on here trying.

If ANYONE has any clue or heard of a friend telling a story about this happening, I'm just wanting my dog back! He wasn't taken to a vet on Sunday as I called all the open ones.

He will possibly have severe back end/leg damage, and I just want to get him to a vet.

PLEASE contact me at 361-548-8010 if you might have any idea where Buster might be - He is dearly missed!!!

Saw your dogs pic at the southside animal hospital today as well. I live in the area and will definitely keep an eye out for your little friend. Hopefully your fliers will help get him back for ya.

Ditto on hoping there is a happy ending. I know if I lost my dog it would really tear me up. Hope all goes well.

With the worst feeling in the world.. I found out that the person did stop but left my dog on the street. Animal control was called and he was picked him in 12 minutes and euthanized on Sunday.. without giving me a chance to save him. So many people saw him, but nobody tried to help. They euthanized him because he hurt his back leg, the animal control officer made the decision. RIP buster boy.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
