dont get much time to hunt outselves, so we took advantage of a off weekend.
headed to my tio's ranch near falls city and wouldnt you know, the birds wanted to play a little.






if it wasn't for the pesky fireants, we would have had a double tag out.

Thanks for the report. I have never shot one. Our lease in Pearsall had them but not where my stand was. I will definitely have put that on the bucket list.

seen lotsa nice birds riding the train anywhere from Uvalde to Eagle Pass and Del Rio.

Spring turkey hunting is a great time. You'll love it! Just be careful with your movements. Their is always a turkey that you don't see!

thanks fellas...was a blast for sure....back to the big ranch for some guiding...got turkey and axis on the list and if Tyler don't get tapatalk soon, a "pin stripe gum guy" might have to take a bullet! Laughing

Great job Obsessed! Looks like the gobblers are active where you were at. Nice beards too. Had me a Te Amo cigar but did not get to smoke it since there was no victory dance. Lol. Maybe in a couple more weeks.

they were active, but not "hot"....they would answer maybe once or twice, then go silent, then just show up....they didn't pay much attention to the decoys either, we just happened to get in between their travel back to their roost. Wink
