Weather had its ups and downs this week,But we managed to take my grand daughters out for some fun in the sun. They managed there first reds. The girls six and and a four year old,The oldest caught a 26 and the smaller one caught a her first slot too.I brought along some gulf shrimp and threw them on the grill along with one of the reds for some red on the half shell. Nothing better than fresh fish on the grill while your on location. Heres some pics of us and a picture that was passed along to me of some flounder on the surf.Came with a story but ill just post the pic and let you be amazed with it like i was when i saw it. Looks like spring tides are here ive been seeing the water levels rising around different locations and been seeing bait entering from the gulf. Went to the beach the next day and saw plenty of pelicans feeding the third gut, That was before prefrontal passage.I hadn't been out for a while ,Sure felt good fighting a nice 28 inch red.The reds caught by grand kids were on 8lb test,They had a smile from ear to ear. Good luck and Tight lines !
Now thats a lot of flounder.
See ya on the water. [/img] _________________ ''ONE LAST CAST''

Nice man! The flounder picture is from a event called a "Jubilee". Flounder, crabs, sting-rays, etc.. run to the banks due to low O2 levels looking for oxygen. Its a accurance around LA, MS, AL, and sometimes in NC from what I have read. Gigging is typically banned during the low O2 level time. |

Great report! Doesn't get much better than putting a big smile on a kids face. Except maybe that kid being a grandchild. |

That really is great. My little girls are about the same age difference too. I can't wait until I can take them fishing. Daughter # 2 is only a month old so it'll be a while. Food looks very tasty. Nice fish. Good job dad! _________________ Fish hard. You never know when you'll make you last trip south. |
