Has anyone ever fished Shamrock? I have fished the channel that leads out to the island with some luck on small trout but i was wondering on how the fishing was out at Shamrock? I appreciate the help! |

Good fishing back there but its loaded up with some big rays right now with some barbs that will do damage so watch your step _________________

I think I have figured out the first responses.....
It is either "No, it is a good place to fish" or "Yes, it is not a good place to fish" _________________

| I rarely leave with keepers out there. I think its overfished. Nice area, but you usually have to share with a bunch of people who aren't catching much either. I dont know about that area at night. Maybe that's the ticket. |

it's a great place to fish, i was being sarcastic...watch your wind though if you are on a yak...can get pretty tiresome paddling all the way back against it...other than that...
look out for the rays, those back flats are home to a bunch of them, it's usually where i go to gig rays for shark fishing when i go. _________________ Trophy whitetail and exotic hunts on some of the finest ranches Texas has to offer, www.mcoutfitterstexas.com

I always catch fish there, nothing will ever be legal length however.
Like mentioned above, it gets a LOT of fishing pressure. |

use cut mullet there - you will catch'm. I like the whole area - waves can get big.
The only bad thing - if you park at the boat ramp across from the Myan Princess - is that you may get broken into _________________ Happy Hook'n
