After having to work Saturday until 3:00 and a couple of friends sending me pictures of their early morning wades with limits of trout words could only describe how eager I was to get on the water after work. The time finally came and I hooked up the boat and headed out with the girlfriend. We fished one spot for about 10 minutes with no results so decided to head towards KRS. About a mile past pure oil I see a boat anchored up with three guys waiving on it. I decided to stop to see what was wrong, the fuel pump went out and they needed a tow in. We hooked up and headed to bluffs landing which took the rest of my evening up. Hopefully someone would do the same if I or anyone else is ever in need.

Your good deed will some day/ some way be rewarded. I have towed people in also, and hope that if I ever need a tow, someone will do the same for me.
If nothing else, there is the good feeling of knowing that you did the right thing in helping out those in need.

Yep...have done it myself more than once. And had to be towed once even. I wouldn't think twice about missing out on fishing to help someone on the water. Now, sometimes they should "know better" or prepare better, but that doesn't matter. They need help and that's all that matters. Good on you.

Very honorable of you to help.

I've never been in that situation. Just in case it should arise, what are some safety pointers for towing? I have a light 18 foot hull and 115 hp motor. Doubt it would get on plane pulling anything larger. I carry an extra 50 feet of 3/8 inch anchor rope and have 25 foot dock lines to make bridles. Am I just asking for trouble with what i have?
