| Where is the cheapest place in Corpus to get the propane tanks for a gas grill? I know most of the HEBs and gas stations have them but figured some places surely have lower prices. Thanks |

You might try one of these places, they actually refill the tank and are usually a lot cheaper. I can't vouch for any of them but get my tanks refilled here in San Antonio instead of exchanging them. Good Luck!

If you need to purchase one, You can get them at Sams and get them filled at one of the locations listed above.
It should be a lot cheaper than purchasing one at HEB or a gas station. good luck! |

| I got a 100 pound tank from northern tool several years ago. It was about 100 bucks at the time. Another 50 for the regulator, needle valve, gauge, hose etc. I usually get it filled over at the trolling motor place on SPID near the bluff. Price changes based on the market, but I think last time it was about 60 bucks. There is place near Ayers and SPID where the price is usually about the same. Even with turkey fries, fish fries, crawfish boils and running the gas grill, it usually lasts me at least a year. Beats the hell out of screwing with those little grill tanks all the time. |

X2.
Have used them since the price for a 20 lb tank was 8.00!! Asked the guy just the other day when the price ought to be coming down, since the shale boom and all of the gas that is abound (+ all I see is fields flaring it off when I drive around Kenedy and Karnes City ). He said that they are shipping it off overseas just as fast as they can, and the local wells are cheaper to flare off that to get it to market?!?! Seems backwards, if you ask me.
Last time I went, it was still around 16.00. HEB has the tank exchange for a few pennies less, but I use the fill service because I know that I am getting a full 20 lb fill. |
