been fishing pins for years and usually do well, the one drawback was that I could only go whenever time allowed and most times it was with 2 days notice. within the last year I'm able to plan accordingly therefore I'm able to notice weather and winds along with the catch. What weather and wind patterns would u guys say produce the best catch?

I love a light SSW wind...but sometimes it will blow some angry blood sucking critters outta the dunes.

Down at Boca Chica in the valley as a kid I remember salt flat mosquitos the size of quarters when the wind blew from the sw. They were horrible and came out at night. Shocked

I am sure it is different in other parts of the country but SE will keep the water green in the surf and is the predominate wind direction so that may have something to do with it. No wild barometric fluctuations too. That being said, I try to fish when I can unless the wind or weather is ridiculous. Smile
