I got this message today while I was at the Bass Pro in Harlingen. It was from Paul Hare's daughter, she is texting me and keeping me up dated on Paul's progress. Here is the message from Paul to the forum in his words " Please tell the forum that they are my best friends". Thats about it. Other than the fact that he has a team of doctor's that are working with him on pain management becauce he will not be getting any more chemo. I thought it would be nice to have this separate from the other thread, IMS

I know things are kinda busy now but could you please try to tell him that I (speak on behalf of CF) thank him very much for the fishing knowledge, skills and stories. They have been an awesome part of this site!

Whenever I fish the surf these days I always use one of the poles Paul gave me. Though he may not be physically fishing with me, he is definitely with me in spirit. He sure has sent good karma my way.

Never met the guy but its still heartbreaking to say the least to hear about a highly respected man and one hell of a fisherman to not have much time left in life. Thoughts and prayers.

Rabbit and Bluffer were the first two people to befriend me and answer all my stupid salt questions online... all the way here in Colo. They taught me a ton of things and kept my love for the coast alive , while I couldnt be down there. I will always remember them and be thankfull for their help. D

Looks like Paul is getting out of the hospital and going home where he will be getting hospice care. Being at home beats the hospital anytime. Very Happy
