Instead make simple Ceviche!!! Shocked

Code:

So easy I can do it. Take the whiting fillets and cut them into small squares or cubes if you prefer. Soak them in a mixture of lemom or lime juice and some " Slap ya Momma" Cajun Seasoning"... Morgan Street Seafood Market has all kinds of Slap ya Momma products... BTW...
Leave it in the fridge overnight.... Now get you a tub of "Pico de Gallo" from HEB or make your own and mix the whiting with it and serve with corn tortilla chips.... It is super healthy and delicious!!!

Enjoy,

Sapo

the pre-chopped HEB pico and other stuff is a real time-saver and really easy for beach-eating/cooking...
good bit more pricey than roll-yer-own, but convienient.
Thx , Sapo.

Whiting 'ARE" my favorite fish to eat. They have no fish taste and will taste exactly as seasonings you put on them.

Interesting use of a much maligned fish. I think I will stick to having mine fried ala fish chunks!

Nope. Gotta hit that fish wit some fire first. Every whiting I've tried to cook turns into fish mush. I use them for bait and to make chum blocks with.

Looks good. But, why do people strive to have fish not tast like fish? That has always seemed to be pecular to me.

Great table fare always has been, but fresh whiting are the ultimate, redfish bait, on a carolina rig # 2 hook as well as a drum rig.
