Mary went to yoga and I finished the crosswords, winds were relatively low so I jumped in the boat and headed for the 2 min. HH. Sons are coming in from NM for Easter so I wanted to send them home with some fish. Well the honey hole was full of honey this morning.

Got there about 10AM and first drift I get 2 nice fish in the 19" range. Knowing there were fish there I wanted to see if they could be found elsewhere. Fished the gut south of Pita as well as in front of Pita and the flats in front of Tropic Isles. A few dink trout and 2 barely keepers was all I got there. It was about noon now so I went back to the HH. Fished the sand pockets in about 3' of water. Found better success dragging tequila, or pink, or clear soft plastics through the sand pocket rather than bouncing them.

Came home with a limit of trout and let another 5 go. Kids coolers will be loaded with trout, pomps and reds on their trip back home.
