My photographer, aka my wife, Mary, and I went to PINS this morning for a day of R and R.

Arriving on PINS

 photo 004-39_zps985b6cb4.jpg

As soon as I got out of my truck this guy came over to see what was happening.

 photo 008-6_zps313464fa.jpg

He had one voracious appetite. He ate 2 hardheads, a couple whiting and chased a drum I released, but when he picked it up it was too strong for him to hold onto.

Had 3 poles out. 2 with cut bait and one with fishbites/shrimp. All fish caught today, except one, was caught on the latter.

Fish on.

25" red. Check out heron lurking in background.

 photo 020-5_zpsd19b2725.jpg

Move a few times when the hh's got to be a pain.

Could this be where................

 photo 038-3_zps4a0f9c04.jpg

I caught this 39" mama?

That was one fat red. And feisty as well. Bringing it in he would come on top of the water slapping its tail. When I put my lip gripper on it he wanted no part of that. Twisted, turned, slapped and actually came free from the grippers.

The release!

And finally a couple of scenery shots.

That Mary can sure take some nice pictures.

Loved the 2 scenery pics. The second one looks like the waves in a painting. Or is it that waves on paintings look like the picture?

Keep up the reports with pictures. Both are great!

Zia,

Tell your wife thanks for the beautiful images; they really help make a great report even better.

The shot of the gull is spectacular.
