Probably hit the beach a little over a dozen times this year, catching sharks maybe 50% of the time. Cant complain, it was better than last year. Spent way to much freakn money on fishing. Oh well, looking forward to see what this year brings.

Great catches from all! I have none worth posting, my best fishing came on the last two weeks of the year though. Hopefully that means 2013 will be a good one for me!

That shark lost his tail.
Please tell me that shark lost it's tail by another fish and not some cruel SOB's idea of C/R. |

My line had broke at night but I had a float on my leader so when i went out in the kayak to retrieve it the next morning the shark had my hook in its mouth, but was dead due to the fact that some other shark took off its tail.

After giving it some thought I guess I had two Best Catch for 2012, I was fortunate enough to say Thank You to our troops.
Here is a picture of just a few of The Combat Marines we was able ot take fishing. I must say this had to be my #1 catch of a lifetime

The jack was used during sharkathon last year. The guy I gave it to on BHP (frank, one cool dude!) that helped me gaf it used it during sharkathon. They had a greenhorn on their team/camp, and the greenhorn kept tightening the drag on that rod while the jack was soaking. With all the storm and stuff that weekend experienced, the line ended up breaking. Frank was more than pissed at the guy from what he told me. I landed my 1st king since I was around 8 years old 20 minutes after the jack. I woulda smiled during the jack picture, but I was pumped full of adrenaline and that jack gave me a pretty good work out.
