As we all know the BCS is gone after next football season as we give way to the 4 game playoff. Its a fitting time for one team... Ohio State. The Big 10 isn't exactly stacked with powerhouse football programs. Ohio State could compete in the Big 12 and Pac 12, but they own the Big 10. The toughest game they have next year is @ Northwestern?!?! Sure Michigan is on the schedule, but I'm sure they will continue to fall short of expectations as they have every year for the last few. And expectations haven't been this low for them in a while.
The national championship game will be an undefeated Ohio State verses... whoever can go undefeated. LSU, Alabama, and Texas A&M all play each other. Each of those teams could easily have one loss as a result. If Oregon goes undefeated, Ohio State will pull another Notre Dame and get pummeled by Oregon in the NC game. Next year will be another shining example of why the BCS will not be missed. Each of those three SEC teams would be more deserving than Ohio State for a shot, even with one loss. Not to mention Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina have the potential to knock off any SEC West team who goes into the SEC championship undefeated, and each of those teams have undefeated potential.
Who knows what surprises are in store. I'm sure a few teams will be much better than anticipated (TCU is a good example, and USC will be much much better), and Oregon may have a bowl ban, but I guess I just really hate the BCS right now.
I'm probably way too early to start complaining. Am I the only one on here who follows all college football? _________________ Fish hard. You never know when you'll make you last trip south. |

Good points even with a playoff system I think T AM would have been left out due to Georgia etc. _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |

| They're making things better. Maybe, in a few years, and I've the money is right, we'll have a true playoff. No matter how good it get there will a some teams get left behind. |

Next year with one loss I think they probably still make a playoff, all exse being equal. For once my Aggies seem to be garnering some respect. Having a Hesiman winner is gonna get them some extra votes with the pollsters and that will help a lot.
This all assumes JF plays close to the same level he finished this year at. _________________ Why is it that these days sales people seem to be as honest as I am knowledgeable? |
