Anyone know how to put specific gps coordinates in an iPhone or what app to use??? The coordinates that I'm trying to put in are in the N xx(deg sym)xx.xx' W xx(deg sym)xx.xx' format...looking for an app to give directions to that specific spot... If you can't do this by phone what device is the best that will holdup with saltwater and is accurate? Thanks! _________________ Go out and enjoy God's creation!!!

I use Trimble. Try to download some of the free aps. See which one does what you like.
Problem with phone is that once you loose signal there goes your gps.

| Granite Guy - totally agree with your take on learning things on your own, but he wasn't asking for others waypoints. He was just asking that, if you already have them, how do you put them into your iphone, which contains a map function. |

I use Google maps. I save my way points as favorites on my android phone and converted them with gps coordinates on my Google account. Send me your email and I'll forward u my stuff. _________________ "Our houses are protected by the good Lord and a gun And you might meet'em both if you show up here not welcome son" -Josh Thompson |

| I know there are apps available, I have looked at some, I don't actually use them so I won't suggest any specific app. That said, if you choose to purchase an actual GPS unit, Garmin is the most user friendly when adding POI's (places of interest), Tom Tom being the least user friendly in my experiance, I have a team of techs and have supplied them with both and everyone agrees that Garmin is much easier to use. |
