I would like to start a post for people here to share local food knowledge. Please share your deep secrets. Very Happy

Didjaknow you can go to B & J's pizza and purchase a "large" portion of raw fresh pizza dough for just a little over a buck? Great homemade pizza without having to destroy your kitchen totally. The dough also freezes very well and can be used for other Italian delicacies as well.

Let's try not to share this too much. Laughing

T-bones are regularly $5.10 a pound at La Hacienda Market on Port. They are 1 inch thick and frequently go on sale for $3.79.

Here is an example with me working one over with a Jaccard:

Here is my pizza I made last night with B & J dough. Half white, half Italian sausage and meatball.

Damn that's good to know Chef Lefty. Are they happy to sell you a hunk like that, or are they just kind of doing you a favor, like when Moody's "sells me" a few tablespoons of sodium nitrate when I am making corned beef? They just put it in a bag and charge 10 bucks a pound. Usually comes out to about 27 cents or so...

They seem to be fine with it. No sour faces, or anything like that. I'm sure if they are running low, they might say no, but they make very large batches, and have them pre-wrapped.

Moody's sells sugar cure by the pound too about the same price as Morton Tender Quick but without the 5 dollar shipping charge for two pounds.
