I'll be moving to Corpus to start a new job in mid-January, waiting on the official corporate sign-off on the paperwork.
Company is providing a place to stay when I get there but I will eventually need to find a house to rent so my wife can join me.
If you know anyone that's renting a house or know a good realtor please give me the information. Eventually I'll want to buy a house but was thinking I'll get to know the areas before I jump in and buy one.
Also, what areas of Corpus would you all recommend moving into? Avoiding? Should I look outside of Corpus?
Thanks

I've lived in Corpus, annaville, robstown and Sinton and even Kansas city. Now I live in flour bluff and it is by far the best community I've ever lived in. Good luck in finding a place! _________________ I like fishies |

You have to look at Nueces property taxes. Ditto the Bluff

Inconsistency comes to mind regarding the tax values from property to property on the same street. If you purchase down the road, you really have to monitor your home's value as well as other homes around you, or things will get out of hand quickly.
If you have, or plan to have kiddos and want the best ISD, go Bluff!! _________________

Can't go wrong with the bluff. Great school district. Close to fantastic fishing. One heck of a friendly place to live.
The Bluff, it has it all. |

If I were to move that way I would take a serious look at Portland as it is an easy commute across the bridge. Good schools, proactive police and some nice neighborhoods.
If the primary concern is quality of schools I do not know of anyone who does not rave about the Tuloso-Midway district but the commute might be a concern....then again there is also the Calallen area out that way which many really like. _________________ Mike |
