Dad and I got a little luck this past trip with an awesome pomp bite. Made it down from San Antonio on Thursday. Water was clear and clean at the blacktop, but we headed south. Ended up in the 50s where we hit a couple spots. Pomp action was fast and furious at times. All caught on HEB shrimp up close. I got some mullet in the morning, but none seen on the drive in and out. Also tried some fishing for shark with whiting but no takers. On the way out the water was not as clear as on Thur probably due to the stronger S/SE winds. Ride in and out was bumpy. Weed in the 50s was manageable with the long lines. In close not an issue as bait did not stay out long with the pomps.

Dad and I at the Pomp Bar Sat morning in the 30s. About 36 pomps showed up.
Near the bar, by the water, my dad enjoys some Starbucks coffee and takes in the scenery. Memorable trip for sure and a lot of pomp to clean. Till next time adios and cheers from Clarence and Richard Roussett from San Antonio. |

Same as everyone else. For those of us that have lost their fathers we wish for just one more trip with him. Glad you took the occasion to be with him. Neither of you will forget it. Congrats and the fish are just a bonus. _________________ Protect our treasure PINS |
