Fished just south of the ship channel and the surf was a mess although bait was present. Left the sand just after 9 between 4 of us we had 15 trout. Rip lips!

Sweet going to be heading out there Sunday.haven't fished out that way much is there a preference on what side to fish north/south?

I was at access road 2 and the whiting were thick in the first gut. Didn't catch anything else though.

I'll be in port a. Am tomorrow. Wife was on the beach with the kids this morning said a guy caught what she described as a huge trout about 11:00 am on a gold spoon. I'm here working my tail off in S.A. So they can stay at the coast for a month. I wasn't sure if I was excited or jelious when she called me. Maybe both.

Not to much seaweed but a real strong current headed north. Look for bait and those little birds that dive in the water close to shore and you have located the trout!
