I have never used a cork before and I heard of people using them to land huge fish. Do you use it the same as lake fishing and what types of fish does it work better on?

If you are talking about using a a cork for saltwater bay fishing, your best bet would be a alameda corr, or a mansfield mauler, any cork that has some sort of ratteling contraption on it works great. These particular corks work well on catching just about anything.....from large speckled trout, redfish, drum, etc... The ratteling noise they make when you pop them is an attractant to the fish, basically a dinner bell. _________________ CONSERVATION IS KEY |

Depending on the condition of the water, anything from a light twitch to make it rattle to a sweeping jerk to create a popping splash. Kinda like what freshwater guys do with a Hula Popper. _________________ You can get much farther with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone.

How much pop you want to make depends on the water / wind conditions. The "noisier" the surroundings, the louder you want the pop to be.
If its calm, and the water is pretty calm too, just a little twitch will do. If it is blowing out or therre is more action, then a sweeping jerk may be in order. Just watch out you don't pop you bait off your hook! _________________ GOBZA!!!
