So for the fall semester my wife and I have had an exchange student from Germany staying with us. I kept telling him about all the good fishing we have and up until recently he thought I was full of it. This was partly because we had to work around his football schedule and could only go when he didnt have practice. So with him being off for a week for Thanksgiving it was the perfect time to take him. I had heard that there was alot of small sharks in the surf and that was one of his goals while he was here. I had also told him about bull reds that run through the surf and needless to say he was excited. It started out with him catching perch and he was having a blast. I am glad that we caught some fish and that he will always have these memories of surf fishing Texas! Oh and my wife had to go and out do him with a nice red of her own. Here are the pics.
My friend with one of many small sharks

Phillip from Germany with shark 1 and 2

Another day another fish....37" bull red

And my beautiful wife that just wont let the boys out fish her...39" red

I have so much to be thankful for. Hope all of you had a just as wonderful Thanksgiving!!!
