Some LIGHTING at the Packary Channel boat ramp would really be nice. Its pitch black at night over there. A couple of street lights around the parking lot and the ramp really would be nice. Who do I need to contact?

I wonder just how many improvements you can make on lighting for $5000 per pier. Maybe an extra street light or two in the parking lot?

from what ive experienced, they cant keep the lights they have lit. if they would just keep the lights on that are there would certainly help., of course i dont know what it takes to shimmy up that pole and change the bulb either. Shocked

You need to contact the city of Corpus Christi. The cost of the boat ramp project was $705,621. Apparently they forgot to include some lights or extra bulbs, maybe even the poles. Good luck with that call. I still think a flashlight would be your best bet. Smile

Upgrade the pavilion? Why? Who uses it?

The rest of that cash isn't going to go very far and will be concentrated on the things they can charge for, IE, RV spots.

Fixing the big holes in the paved road to Packery would be nice, in addition to grading the beach.

Port A has it hands down on maintenance. Good pavement and freshly graded sand almost everywhere. Port A is a tourist center, so they make sure things are done well. The boat ramp near the ferry has enough lights around it to see at night.

However, we chose to live in CC; we like the city better than Port A.

i think that from what i just read that at least your parks dept does more than other counties in texas. galveston doesnt do a thing except get non fishing tourists to come. they have one county pier in galveston at sea wolf park and it costs 20 dollars to fish and park, and if you do fish you need to carry an anchor on you cause the skeeters are so big they fly away with you. its horrible there. the private piers cost 10 dollars for 24 hours. i know its not heaven where you but some of us in galveston think you are a bit of heaven. we would give our eye teeth to have your beautiful beaches and clean water.

Started in Galvetron. Great fishing off Flagship pier. But no more. I hear you about the water, tourists, and piers.
