WENT OUT SATURDAY WIND GUSTING 40 MPH, HIT ALL THE HOT SPOTS FOR THIS TIME A YEAR THE ONLY PAY OFF WAS IN BOAT HOLE ANCHORED IN BROKEN BOTTOM. COUPLE OF GUIDE FRIENDS ARE TELLING CLIENTS TO RE-BOOK FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS. HIGH SALINITY LEVELS FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR, WATER IS STILL WARMISH, SLUGISH BITE. NEED A STRONG FRONT THAT WILL LAST A COUPLE OF DAYS AND NIGHTS TO TRIGGER BITE FOR FISH TO PUT ON WEIGHT. POSITIVE OUTLOOK IS GOOD BAIT HATCH, NORTHEAST BLOW SHOULD HELP PUT MORE CLEAN WATER INTO THE LAGUNA, AND NO MORE TOURNAMENTS OR LESS PRESSURE ON THE FISH.

We've been doing good even in the wind, I guess it's if you land on them or not 
Today was trout, redfish, drum and pompano....yep, we caught pompano
on live shrimp in the Laguna.

Go speckled trout. I plan on fishing friday with a local stationed sailor and his dad. ARE THEY THERE???? You know where.

I have headed out 3 times in the last 3 weeks and have got skunked.
We have used live shrimp, dead shrimp, mullet , top waters, new penny gulps , etc.. and nada.
Those of you that have been catching lately , kindly post pics for the resf of us 
I am sure ready for a good strong cold front and the Drum Run. [/b]

Hey ironmanstan, the Stripes tournament is Friday, being fished out of Bluffs Landing. Think the water is going to get really crowded
