Headed down Friday after work and made to Port Mansfield very late, launched the boat and finally made it to the cabin in the landcut bout 2am. Started the generator and got the lights on but not many trout under the lights.
Hit the sack cause Saturday would be a long day looking for fish. Went and caught finger mullet then hits my favorite spots. Nothing. No wind and very little current didn't help. I thought prefrontal conditions we couldn't go wrong. WRONG! I couldn't find anything.
I thought the trout would be stacked under the lights Saturday night before the front but they never really showed up. The front blew in bout 4am, secured the boat and went back to sleep. Woke up about 8am and packed up to leave.
Ran the east cut but which was calm but had to make the run across the bay to get to the harbor and got beat up and all wet. Ended up with a couple trout and a bunch of sand trout under the lights. Still had fun and never get tired of being at the cabin.
Shot a lot of ammo and ate good
