Went down PINS Friday afternoon. I decided I would stop when I saw mullet jumping out of the water or running for thier lives. Made it down to the 25MM before I started seeing mullet trying to beach themselves. Caught a few with the castnet and it was on. Seven slot reds landed in a little over 2 hours or so in the upper twenties. I had a nice bull hooked and somehow it rolled in a small wave right on the beach and came off the hook. I had a few mullet get chomped with no hookups. The mullet did not have clean bites like bluefish or smacks so I guess they were probably reds also. I saw a lot of people catching nothing. Most of them were casting out from the first sandbar trying to reach Cuba. Everything I caught was on the front side of the first sandbar on the incoming tide this afternoon. I did try for pomps in a few spots but all I got were very small whiting. Driving was a lot better than last weekend during Sharkathon.

This is right off the pavement.

Down in the 20's

Have a great weekend everybody.
