Went behind the fire station this morning and the gulf was like a huge lake. Not a ripple on the water. Bait everywhere. But where were the predators? Sorry no pics this time. We had 3 cameras and all 12 batteries we had were dead.

Fished with live and cut mullet and only got skippies and a huge ray. Cut off the barb that measured just over 6". I can see how the "crocodile hunter" met his demise with that kind of barb.

Went to FPJ and it was like an aquarium. Fish everywhere. Caught about 10 rat reds on soft plastics. That was about it.

Stopped by NPJ and only a couple of barely legal trout. Watched people at the tip of SPJ pull in a bunch of reds throwing topwaters.

Went SBH this AM and conditions were a 180. 5 rows, off color, some bait but not like yesterday, and nothing but hardheads.

Sound like a strong front Sun. Hopefully that is what the surf needs
