I would like to thank all the old salts for your knowledge you freely express on this board. I would also like to thank the other newbies to the sport for asking all the great questions. A little history on myself. I'm from Galveston and love all things saltwater. My sport of choice has been heavy weather sailing. I left the coast for a couple of decades but now I'm in CC. Being too old to take the beatiing of heavy weather sailing, I decided to take up bay fishing. I've been fishing all my life with friends and I'd do well because they knew what they were doing and I never really paid attention to how they did it. Now it's up to me and I have to tell you this "catching" thing is hard to learn. You start reading about it and they say "learn how to read the water". Of course I look out over the Laguna and I just saw a bunch of water with no signs that said the fish are right here. It's coming around now and I owe those of you on this board a deep gratitude for sharing your love of the sport. Looking to be a productive member to the board.

Welcome to the board X 10 or a bunch.
Did they rebuilt Cotton's after the fire? If so are they still around Robstown. |

No relations to the Bar-B-Q joint but the son Joe Cotten was my neighbor when I lived north of Dallas. Small world. |
