We are getting near the big weekend (September 15th), and are making all of our final preparations. I have the info and rules posted under the tournament section, so check it out. We have a variety of prizes donated and will be having a silent auction at 2pm after the weigh in. Please feel free to message me with any questions.

I will be fishing this tourny also. It is for a good cause! I like the fact that all of the proceeds including kayak rental (if needed) go back to the ALS society. MisterWill is very passionate about this cause and I hope everyone reading this will come out and fish!!! It is going to be a fun day on the water with a great group of people. Very Happy

Reminder to everyone that this Friday is the Captains Meeting at the Yak Shack from 6pm till 8pm.
Some answers to some questions that I have been asked that I thought would be good to share:

How does the mixed stringer work, can I bring in all three species of fish and have each weighed, do I need all three?
The way this works is you bring in your largest fish (No not an entire limit), of each species (Redfish, Trout, and Flounder). So only the heaviest of those fish will be weighed, and you must be the one to enter those fish by the way, don't hand a stringer of fish and tell the Weigh Master to pick the biggest, you must do that! So if you have all three fish, then you get all three weighed, if you only have 2 out of the 3, then that is what gets weighed, and for the most part, one big trout and one big red can easily win this catagory.

Does the fish need to be alive? No, it is understandable that it is difficult to keep fish alive from a kayak, but they do need to be fresh, and their gills will be checked.

Can I fish in a different area other than Nueces Bay?
You bet, just do one of three things.
Go to the Captains meeting this Friday from 6 to 8 pm and register, then let us know where you will be fishing.
Number two - pay online at
http://web.alsa.org/goto/TravisMedical
make sure to register as a virtual walker since this is a website set up for the ALS walk, then notify me - Mister Will here or misterwill123@gmail.com that you have read and agreed to the rules, and where you will be fishing.
Number three- check in Saturday morning at the Yak Shack between 6am till 11 am, then be on your way to your destination.

Oh and as a reminder, we have STARBUCKS donating coffee and it is enough for up to 75 cups, so I got your coffee fix set up for you, and Tea as well.

Weigh in starts at 12 and ends at 2, we have some terrific drawings set up with lots of fabulous prizes.
One last thing, the entry fee is $20 until Friday, on Saturday it is $30, all proceeds go to the ASL charity, so come support a good cause, and have a good time, food and drink provided while they last from noon till 2, so we hope you join us for a fun Saturday of fishing.

Mister Will
