Went fishing with my father-in-law today at the jetties at South Padre Island and caught a few of these. We have no idea what they are...
Any one got a clue?

12 donkey whiting, 3 butter perch, 1 27" red... All on live shrimp with split shot... No trout, no mackerel, but no hardheads either!
