A colleague of mine wanted to learn some how- tos of surf fishing so we hit the beach this AM. Was planning on going to about the 8mm on PINS but the surf was way up and driving not the best so we opted for SBH instead.

No mullet in the surf yet. Lots of shad to get stuck in the cast net. Caught some whiting on fishbites and cut them up for bait.

Other than whiting and a bunch of small hardheads, just one 21.75" red was caught.
