left Billings around 7am. Took some clients out with a guide, Steve Ruebke. Great guy, great boat, and put us on some fish. Have been hearing reports of drum running around, and there were lots of folks posted up by Billings and boats all thru there. We started a little north of there, by some power lines and a church (hint). A couple kayakers and waders here but not many. Made several drifts along there and my clients were pulling in big drum after big drum. Plenty of hardheads and rat reds around too. I got a just undersized flounder, as my bad luck continued. My boss lost a big red at the boat, was using a paddletail in white/chartruese. We ended with nine drum after a couple hours.

Went just north to the backside of mustang island. LOTS of waders back there, especially for a Wednesday. Made several drifts around there and my clients hit another drum or two, but not as big here. I finally got on the board with a drum in the box. My boss managed a just barely dink on the paddletail. All drum caught on dead shrimp. Great time was had. Sorry but pics not on my camera.
