|
|
The Houston Chronicle today is reporting a major fish kill in the hundreds of thousands on the beach in Galveston. Officials are blaming low oxygen levels. Anybody know if there is constant monitoring of O2 levels for the middle or lower coast? _________________ E Pluribus Unum |

I like there description. Shad fish. Lol
Yeah they can't handle environmental change well. Either the oxygen or all the damn pollution they dumb in the water up that way.
Ever set down and read all the fish advisories for that area.
Mercury prolly the least of your worries lol
Well sad to see and yes boo red tide stay away!! _________________ Hey man they ain't bitin!! Well "Grab a beer!" |

Just got back from Matagorda and there are millions of poggys dead on the beach as far as we drove. Not any other kind of fish but them. All 3 to 6" long. Beach smells bad, glad I was not camping there.

| they have confirmed it is red tide. it started in matagorda and worked its way to galveston. i live in the galveston area and so far it is shad. i realize that yall have the best water and fishing but it is still a part of texas. as far as the pollution it is no more polluted than your area. the reason the water is always sandy is because of the southwest winds we get all the time plus a lot of it comes from louisiana where the mississippi empties into the gulf. i dont complain about your area where i love to come visit so please be kind to other parts of texas |
