In the next couple days i'll be buying a 14' flat bottom jon boat from a friend of a friend. Im happy about finally having something to get in the water with and my wife is extremely excited because (her words) "now i can catch big fish".
Anyways wanted to see if anyone could recommends some places to fish or launch the boat from. So far the only place i can think of is near the red dot and causeway pier. Can someone point me to the right direction where we might be able to do some site casting. (Please keep in mind we are not from corpus and are not familir with the local's spot names)

Also being this is my first boat, is there any special form i should have the seller sign to transfer registration to me? I just looked up the numbers that where on the side of the boat and it is registered under his name. But i don't believe the 2 motors or the trailer are.

Any help would be much appreciated.
