We had 87 registered anglers for the tournament. For something that was only thought of a few weeks ago, that is amazing. It just goes to show how generous the angling community is, especially kayak fishermen! You raised almost $1300 dollars for our HOW chapter. Words cannot adequately express the gratitude you all are owed!

There are so many people to thank; I hope I don't forget anyone. First, thanks to all of you that showed up to fish. Without you all, this couldn't have worked. Thanks to Steven Schmidt, Jason Paul, Travis Matthews, Jesse Castillo, Fil Spenser, Ninja, Dustin (EZ-E), South Texas Tackle, and the Yak Shack for providing the raffle prizes. Thanks to Travis Matthews and Jesse Castillo for paying the entries for the HOW participants. Thanks to Capt. Fil Spenser for being the Weigh Master and doing such a great job. Thanks to all the guys that took the Heroes out to fish and thanks to Bill Stroud for bringing them down. Thanks to Ruben of South Texas Tackle for doing registration and for sponsoring the event and TKFSA. Thanks to Jessica Ditch for helping with the weigh in and especially the delicious cookies. Thanks to Chris Martin for coming up at 4 AM Saturday to help with registration and making sure everyone stayed healthy.

We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the guys at the Yak Shack. The owners and staff made this thing run like a well oiled machine. The owners, David Martinez and Joe Roberts, paid for radio ads for the tournament as well as hosting it and providing the food and music.

Finally, I have to thank Uldric "Big Kahuna" Ditch for being the Corpus area ramrod for the tournament. Anything we needed, a call to him and it was taken care of. Without his help, this thing would never have been the huge success that it was. He was there from can 'til can't and went way above and beyond. Thanks, Bro!

If I forgot anyone, I humbly ask your forgiveness. Know that what you did is going to make a huge difference for our Heroes. Thank you all so much!

We had some very nice fish weighed, even though it was a tough day of fishing. If you got out and fished, you're a winner! Congratulations to the prize winners in each division.

This was a great event! Thank you for setting it up, and a special thanks to the guys at the Yak Shack for hosting. They did a lot of preperation work to make the parking strictly for the event, and everything worked out so well. The guys who organized this did a first class job.
