If the storm that was just named in the Atlantic holds true to the course they have plotted, it will be taking dead aim on South Texas and will be in the Western Gulf early next week. Be prepared to batten down the hatches, because a South Texas landfall is overdue. All of the southern half of texas sure could use the rain. Just sayin.........

big dome of high pressure sitting over the Red River...
if it doesnt move no tropical system will be able to come close.

BTW, I dont wanna see any bad times for any folks who could feel bad effects from any weather...

Still way to early to predict a landfall yet on this one (if there is one) lets not get carried away yet. Confused

Looks like it may be falling apart already. Maybe we'll get some soaking rains if nothing else.

I agree about the high pressure. If it sticks around our chances of seeing any action are nill.

our water situation is becoming dire.
my well has 6ft in it, but draws down in only a few min.
2+ yrs of little rain have left us in a tough situation.
yall coastal folks forgive me acct wishing for tropical activity coming into SoTx.

Glad to hear Mayor. If you were mayor of Corpus Christi you would probably already be planning the evacuation of the city! Rolling Eyes

"My question is if its starts into the gulf "

I think from looking at the long range tracks it's a matter of WHEN vs IF. The NHC center track has it hitting the tip of the Yucatan Peninsula at 8 am next Wednesday. Then it is about 2 days across the gulf to Texas which if it maintained the same track would hit right around Corpus. Corpus is overdue for a storm - I would be getting ready sooner rather than later and if I had a fishing trip planned for next weekend I would think about postponing the trip.

Still too early to tell but...............unless this high pressure moves out it will not be possible for a tropical low to move in.
