Hey y'all. Got a question for you yakkers out there: is there a diagram showing an easy method for constructing a PVC kayak rack (to either mount to the bed of my truck or a tow behind model)? I am not the most mechanically inclined person in the world and am looking for something within the K.I.S. (keep it simple) principle. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks Very Happy

If you have a pickup and a receiver hitch, go to harbor freight and buy their pick-up bed extender for $19.95 on sale every other week. You can't beat it!!!! You can't buy the PVC for that....

here is the link .. they list it at $39.99 but regularly sale them for $19.95 in teh store.

I built one out of PVC that fits into my 2" receiver. Looks good and costs about $20. Wished I had known about Harbour Freight. It would be much better. Even though I inserted wooden dowels in the PVC for added strenght, I'm still not confident in it.

great idea. I've been wanting to make a rod rack for my jeep and that's the perfect frame. Wish I had thought of it a long time ago.

I built the above rack for about $60.00 in about 2 hours, would be happy to assist anyone. That's what it's all about helping each other.
