Just bought a new to me Calcutta 200 on an All Star Titanium rod off my Uncle. The rod has a small piece of cork missing, is there any way to repair this small chunk 1/8" x 1/4". Or can I get the handle redone?

You can get a cork ring from roys, or a cork from a wine bottle I suppose, and make cork dust using course sandpaper, then mix the dust with wood glue or epoxy to make a putty. fill it in and wipe it smooth. It won't be a perfect match, but It is better than a hole. Some rod companies use low grade cork rings and fill the holes with putty in the first place.

I ended up scraping out any rotten cork and wood glued a cork plug I cut from another rod.
