Since I've seen a few posts lately asking about it I stopped to check it out yesterday on my way off the beach.

The board Saturday night when I passed through.

Sitting at the bottom of the Pass. The board sticking up is about halfway up

Slow rolled it just to see how far I could crawl in 4 Hi. I made it about 3/4 way up just by doing that. This pick is from the other side of the board in the previous pick. It's kinda hard to tell but the top is filled in on the left side. I wouldn't call it "impassable" if you got a running start but the off balance at the top with some speed would be kinda hairy. I'd say you'd have to REALLY want to fish Y Pass to attempt to go back there. I think I could have made it with a running start but I was leaving the beach and didn't want my last memory of the trip to be diggin the truck out Very Happy

Haha. The turtle patrol was sitting there at the base eating lunch and watching me. I'm sure they wondered what I was doing. I drove up and backed down 3 times. Made it a little further each time going slow so as to not tear it up if anyone after me wanted to try. It was def soft up there. I would have tried it with a run but the top scared me. I don't want my truck that far sideways and bouncing around. Especially since I was just checking the entrance out for the board and not going back there to fish.

Thanks for the update. I'm heading that way Friday morning and hoping for rain to firm things up. "Worst" case, if it looks too tough, I'll fish the surf.

4 lo rocks but not sure it would work at the top. Maybe it would since I made it pretty far just crawling in 4 hi. I just don't like using lo unless I just HAD to get to the top.
