| My dad worked as a health inspector while going to vet school and his rule is after three days, you freeze it or throw it away. I'll take his word on it. |

| had an old friend who worked on the pier at galveston every spring and summer come october he would head back to minnesota for the winter. he took back fish that he had froze and some fresh caught. he would have a ice chest fill with ice on the fish and also dry ice to travel with. 2 days is the most we have ever kept fish on ice. |
