Took out the new Kayak with a buddy of mine using my old Kayak over to OSO yesterday. He is fairly new to fishing so I wanted to take him out and show him a thing or two. He ended up with a 22" red and a NICE 28" red! Me? Not a thing! Water Clarity was terrible and hard heads were a plentyt.
Today I went to one of my favorite spots off of Packery that almost never fails and NOTHING. Water clarity there was pretty bad as well caught the smallest hard heads I had ever seen.
One would think a weekend of no fish would leave me quite disappointed. But through the paddling up wind and burning my arms out at OSO to nothing but Micro hard heads today I carried a smile on my face? Why? becaue having that freedom to have those fishing trips (even the bad ones) are possible thanks to our soldiers. So I just want to thank all of our veterans and those currently serving in the military for allowing me and everyone else the freedom to go fishing as we please...
