Snapped a top off. Having trouble with the Fuji repair kit. Glued it up yesterday, checked it this morning and the tip slid right off. Any suggestions? Crazy glue instead of the hot glue that comes woth it? Thanks.

Not enough glue. Try getting some glue inside the tip. Sometimes you push the glue off the rod when you slide the tip on. You should know within a few seconds if you are successful as the tip won't move. Then, you just need to let it cure.

Good luck.

I use super glue all the time, no problems at least no short term problems.
I only keep rods a year or two so can't tell you what happens after that.

i thought about the tip being too big, but it dry fit fairly snug. should there not be any wiggle at all? i just dosed it up again, we'll see. man, Cap'n, i feel bad if i don't get at least a decade out of my gear. granted, you probably fish a little more than i do, but i would wager i set the hook on the bottom a little more frequently. Very Happy thanks for y'alls' responses.

I've had the same problem I put a drop of gorilla glue in the tip and wet the shaft, put a rubber band on it and trimmed off the extra dry glue and BAM!
