My wife is talking about buying a Foodsaver V3020 Vertical or a V2244 Foodsaver. They are both about 75 bucks. I would appreciate any input or other recommendations. How about coupon codes?...............tightlines.cC

My foodsaver is an older model, but still going strong. I use it for all kinds of things. The bags are a bit pricey but well worth it, in my opinion.

We have gone thru 4 of them. All crapped out after a year or so. Whether it be the seal hot strip. Motor, or the vacuum. Will I buy another. No. Ziplock however has a product that sucks out the air in their bags and it only costs a few bucks. (Small pump).it does the job for a fraction of the cost

My Food saver is working okay but you have to wait a minute or longer between sealing or it will not work (vacuum) it will just heat seal.

Foodsaver brand does seem to improve their products over time. Bed Bath and Beyond probably has the most liberal return policy. Keep your receipt and packaging. I even have had luck returning returning a coffee maker to the CC store that was out of warranty and they replaced it.

I bought the kenmore select seal and save about 2 years ago, I works really well, plenty of power and will even suck down jars. The kenmore bags are much better than the foodsaver bags also...
