Hey guys. Supposing I wanted to rig up one of those floating underwater lights for fishing at a jetty or pier...does anyone have any suggestions on how to do that? Best I can see, most of those lights come with a short length of cord which is meant to be attached to the terminals of a boat/car battery. Anyone rigged up something cordless, with it's own internal battery? I'd love to be able to tie it to 10-20 foot of rope and just hurl it out there.

P.S. I can't afford a generator and train lights, which is why I'm asking. Ok, maybe I could (barely) afford it, but I couldn't afford the h*ll I would catch from my wife for buying it.... Laughing Laughing Shocked

Someone is bound to sell a LED battery powered light that is waterproof. Or a regular LED light in a waterproof case like a pelican case or something.

Try these. The old generation II has tieoff loops. Attach a 3oz surf sinker and line.

I use the white/red combo as a kayak marker light.

You can only get the GEN IIs on closeout. They have move up to GEN III (which has a tieoff as an extra, not standard, part).

Go to Super Nova Fishing Light. These lights do not float and are fully
submersible. They come with different length cords, you specify the length you want. They are made to hook up to a 12v battery or to plug into an electrical outlet. They have 300 green LED's, they are very bright and attract fish. You can run these all night off of a small 12v motorcycle battery.
