Had some buddies from El Paso come down to the ranch for some hog and predator hunting this past weekend. We sat mornings and evenings in the bow stands waiting on hogs but they were being elusive. I did have a big boar come in at 9:25pm on Saturday but he did not stick around long enough for me to get a shot off. The wind really picked up Friday-Saturday and we didn't have any luck with the coyotes, but Thursday night we did manage one female. My buddys son Jordan got a nice spring break bonus with his first ever yote and I think he is now hooked on predator hunting. We decided to thin out the coon population a little Friday night since the wind would not cooperate for yote calling. They did not seem to respond to my Foxpro, but we had one come running as fast as he could to my buddies acrylic call. After that we just went looking for them in the trees around feeders and water tanks. All in all it was a great weekend amongst good people, and good eats/drinks. Here are a few pics

I quickly learned that even on a not so successfull hunting trip as long as you have good friends around you and good food on the grill all is forgotten when nothing is taken. And way to go on the coon control, still havent gotten over that one horse sized sucker that ran in front of my car I had JUST GOTTEN THE DAY BEFORE!

Great report regardless of the results. Just being out there is 90% of it or as my signature says "It's all about the fellowship" Very Happy
