Hey guys, need some advise. Wifey wants to head down to South Padre next month during my semester break. I was hoping there might be some nice pomp catching spots down there. I google mapped it and it looks like there's a nice long jetty on the south side and the beach of course. I don't mind surf fishing with long rods, would just prefer to cast and jig. Let me know if you have any advice/info/spots you wouldn't mind sharing.

It would be midweek, between April 20-30.

Also, any experience with nice places to stay on the beach would be appreciated.
