Ok i know this is off topic but i really could use some help from some of the locals. My wife loves to go fishing with me so we are going to do some pier fishing and surf fishing this weekend (morning and nights), but i also want to take her to do other things.

So can someone point me in the right direction for things like renting ATVs to ride on the beach, kayaking, horseback riding, jet skiing, low cost boat rides, etc.

We recently got married after dating for 6yrs and her parents really had her on lock down so she hasnt experienced much of the fun you can have at the beach. On a side note our funds are also limited, i just finished college and she still has a year left.

The horse stables on Mustang Island have a history of mistreating their animals so I try not to send business their way.

I believe you can still rent jet skis in front of the holiday inn on ocean drive....or for fun call Limos of Texas.....and take a haunted city tour......those are fun and very reasonably priced.....and you can also rent a segway on ocean drive and cruise it.......hit up the executive surf club on weekends......check out tripadvisor.com.....i always check it whenever i leave town.....works for other countries also!

I wasn't aware of that. Forget what I said.

If you can transport a couple of kayaks you might consider renting some. It will get you away from the crowds to fish and you can pack a lunch. Just watch the wind. You don't want to get too far out and then have to paddle into a stiff wind to get back.
